New Seating Area for Queens Street A New Focal Point for Horbury
Over the next few months there will be improvements to the area where the village noticeboard is located. New seating, matching tables, new flower planters, replacement of broken paving stones plus the painting of the gable-end wall and finally the refurbishment of the village noticeboard
This investment in Horbury town centre is a joint venture between Horbury Village Partnership, Horbury Civic Society and Wakefield Council. Forming part of the Good of Small Things programme of improvements to communal spaces in Horbury.
Funding has been raised by a grant form Horbury Common Lands Trust and Wakefield Council.
Each seat, table and planter will be made from recycled high density plastic, making them extremely substantial, hardwearing and resistance to graffiti. Being assembled at the Art House in Wakefield |
